   The One and Only God

The Oneness of The God as we discussed before is accepted readily by any major religion. As we said already, if there is God, then He must be Only One! The religious books of many clearly indicate this tooth and nail. Here are some examples:

1. Bhagavad-Gita (7:20) says, " Those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires surrender unto demigods and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship according to their own natures."

2. Upanishads:

     (i) Chandogya Upanishad : 6:2:1 says, " Ekam evadvitiyam " ( He is One only without a second )

(ii) Svetasvatara Upanishad : 6:9 says, " Na casya kascij janita na cadhipah " ( Of Him there are neither parents nor   lord )

(iii) Svetasvatara Upanishad : 4:19 says, " Na tasya pratima asti " ( There is no likeness of Him )

(iv) Svetasvatara Upanishad : 4:20 says, " Na samdrse tisthati rupam asya, na caksusa pasyati kas canainam " ( His form is not to seen; no one sees Him with the eye )

3. The Vedas:

     (i) Yajurveda 32:2 says, " Na tasya pratima asti " ( There is no likeness of Him )

     (i) Yajurveda 40:8 says, " shudhama poapvidham " ( He is bodiless and pure )

4. Old Testament:

      (i) Deuteronomy 4:35 says, "  ... This Lord is God, that no other can compare with Him  "

(ii) Deuteronomy 4:39 says, " ...  The Lord is God who reigns in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no             other "

(iii) Isaiah 43.11 says, " I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no savior"

(iv) Isaiah 45.5 says, " I am Lord. There is none else. There is no God beside me"

    (v) Isaiah 46.9 says, " I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me"

5. New Testament:

     (i) Mark 12:29 says, " Shama Israelu Adonai Ila Hayno Adonai Ikhasd " ( Hear O Israel: The Lord our God is One Lord )

(ii) John 20:17 says, " Jesus says..... My God and your God "

Hence the Hinduism and Christianity clearly indicate the existence of The One and Only god.

Islam through The Holy Qur-aan claims the same only.

5. The Holy Qur-aan:

     (i) Al Mu'minoon : 91 says, " .........  nor there is any god along with Him: ( if there had been many gods ), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others!....."

(ii) An Nahl : 22 says, "Your God is One God..... "

So it is clear that all religions are very much clear in accepting  Oneness of The God.

But which religion practice it  in purest form till now? Of course Hinduism at present is practicing polytheism. Christianity is held up with trinity. But who can challenge that there is no religion except Islam alone  practice the true Monotheism ?

It is Islam alone which prescribe as well as practice The One and Only God!

Who is the Only God which Islam says?
