A Prophet like yourself
In Deuteronomy, Mousa (Alai) - Moses was told about the coming of one Prophet. The verse 18: 15 says, " The lord your God will raise unto you a Prophet in the midst of you , of your brethren, like unto you, unto you shall hearken." Verse 18: 18 continues, " I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brohters; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him."
The Old Testament clearly tells the coming of one Prophet in future. Who is ' that ' Prophet ?
There are only two claims!
He is Jesus only! - Naturally that is the claim of the Christians.
No, he is our Prophet Muhammad (Sal) - Muslims claim goes like this.
Then who is ' that ' Prophet ? Jesus ? or Prophet Muhammad (Sal) ?
We can analysis by word by word as follows:
of your brethren
like unto you
put my words in his mouth
1 : of your brethren : The Prophet foretold to Mousa (Alai) - Moses is from his brother family. But Jesus came from his family only; not from his brother family. Hence he can't be ' that ' Prophet . Then who? Bible mentions three group of people as the brother of Mousa (Alai) - Moses' brother family. They are:
Children of Ismayeel (Alai) - Ishmael - as per Genesis 25:18
Children of Esau -as per Deuteronomy 2:4.
Children of Edomite - as per Deuteronomy 23:7.
But out of these three generations, children of Esau and of Edomite were not blessed. Only Ismayeel (Alai) - Ishmael was the one who was blessed. " And as for Ishmael, I have heard you, I have blessed him, and will multiply him exceedingly:... and I will make him a great nation "- Genesis 17: 20. Prophet Muhammad (Sal) is from this blessed family. Then where is the point to deny him as ' that ' Prophet .
2 : like unto you : Between Jesus and Prophet Muhammad (Sal) , who is the Prophet who is more similar to Mousa (Alai) - Moses? Please follow these points:
Because of their enemies, both Mousa (Alai) - Moses and Prophet Muhammad (Sal) left of their natives.
Mousa (Alai) - Moses lived then at the city of Yechrib. Prophet Muhammad (Sal) then lived the city of Yethrib,
Both Moses and Prophet Muhammad (Sal) were fighters against their enemies.
Both Moses and Prophet Muhammad (Sal) gathered the people who were disintegrated, led them to a great victory.
The laws preached by both Moses and Prophet Muhammad (Sal were similar.
Both Moses and Prophet Muhammad (Sal) born naturally, married and died normally.

Points against Jesus are
He belongs to Mousa (Alai) - Moses' family and not his brothers'.
His birth is unnatural.
His preaching are more of forgiveness than revenge.
So many points favor Prophet Muhammad (Sal) only as ' that ' Prophet .
3
:
put my words in his mouth
: The only Revelation present in the pure form as Word of God available
now is the Holy Qur aan. Prophet Muhammad (Sal) is
one who knows not, how to read or write. He is unlettered, and is called 'Al
Ummi' - meaning unlettered. The Words he uttered are revealed by God Almighty -
Allah - thro' Jibraiel ( Alai ) = Gabriel. "Neither the content of the
revelation, nor its form, were of Mohammed's devising. Both were given by the
angel, and Muhammad's task was only to repeat what he heard." ( World
Religions form Ancient History to the Present, by Geoffrey Parrinder, p. 472 )
So the phrase "
put my words in his mouth
" completely fit into Prophet Muhammad (Sal)
, so he is
'
that '
Prophet foretold.
Look at these two verses of Bible, one from Old Testament and another from New Testament. Both of them clearly deny Jesus as ' that ' Prophet .
1. " And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face." - Deuteronomy 34: 10 . This verse says that there is no Prophet like unto Moses . Jesus claiming him as one of the Israelite Prophet, thus can't be like unto Moses . No other competitor to this prophesy left, except our Prophet Muhammad (Sal).
2. " And this is the record of John, when the Jew sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ. And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he said, I am not. Are thou ' that ' Prophet ? And he answered, No. " - John 1: 19 - 21. Please look into it carefully! As per this, John, the Baptist, denied that he is not
"The Christ "
" Elias "
" that Prophet "
With this three answer, it is clear that " The Christ " can't be" ' that ' Prophet ", as their is no necessary to ask twice if both are same. Then who is ' that ' Prophet ? To clarify this, a foot note is there in one of the Bible, telling that, ' that ' Prophet is the prophet fore told in Deuteronomy 18: 15 .
Is it not clear now! He can't be Jesus - The Christ. Then there is no other competitor to this prophesy left, except our Prophet Muhammad (Sal).
So there is no way to escape than to accept Prophet Muhammad (Sal), as The Prophet.
Beware! Beware! Beware! Beware!
" .... whosoever will not hear unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him." Deuteronomy 18: 19 .
Yes, Prophet Muhammad (Sal) is one who spoke in the Name of God,
" ÞvºÀÛ§ spºÀÛ§ tÛÛ§ ÞT± "
- meaning " In the Name of Allah, The Most Beneficent and Merciful ".
Hear him! If not God will ask you for that. Fear if you are the one who understand!
Let the Almighty give light to us.
