The Sun is so large that it takes up 98% of the Solar system. The solar energy from the Sun is 6,000 degress Celsius, and the Sun's temperature is 15,000,000 degrees Celsius.
The outer part of the Sun is called the corona. The corona extends from the outer Sun. It extends far from the Sun. It consists of particles. During a Solar eclispe is the only time the corona can be seen.
The Sun has been around for 4.6 billion years. The Sun has enough energy to go on for about 5 billion more years. The Sun will eventually fuse helium into heavier elements. When it fuses to heavier elements, the Sun will swallow the Earth. Eventually the Sun will collapse and end up to be a star as big as the Earth.
