Clouds
While driving down the road the other day my daughter asked me, "Mama, how are clouds made?"  That was a very good question.  I never really thought about how clouds were made before.

Well clouds are basically nothing more than water droplets or crystals depending on the type of cloud.  There are many different types of clouds, so I researched the big lumpy clouds called cumulus clouds.

There is a process to the droplets that form in the clouds.  The droplets are made when the warm moist air rises, and what is not able to hold water vapor condenses around dust particles and form the droplets.

What makes the clouds flat on bottom is the uneven heating of the ground from the sun.  But what makes the lumpy top is the fast rising air pockets that cool and condense more moisture as it rises.
