OAKWOOD MEN’S CLUB

 MEETING MINUTES:  September 10th, 2009

 

The meeting was held on Thursday, September 10th at 7:00pm at Oakwood Clubhouse. 

 

Head Pro report (Kevin Kramp): 

·         On October 31^st Kevin will hold a Four-Man scramble.  The cost is $220 per team.  Entry forms are behind the starter’s desk.

·         Kevin will be holding a Blitz Sale in October.

·         Mike Tubbin won the Shoot Out of Champions

 

President’s report (Terry Winiarski): 

·         The election was held at the September 10^th meeting.  All current officers were re-elected.

·         Proposals for the 2010 season are due to Terry Winiarski by October 1^st.

·         The banquet will be October 24^th at the Oakwood Clubhouse.  Sign up forms are available on-line and will be sent out with the minutes.  Send completed forms to Bob Romans. 

 

Membership Chair report (Jim Hautala):  Membership is currently at 114.

 

Treasurer report (Bob Czaplewski):  Report was read and accepted.

 

Handicap Chair report (Rick Zingsheim): 

·         Please remember to adjust your scorecards accordingly.

·         Six people from the last Second Team event did not turn in tournament scorecards.   Please get in your scorecards.

 

Rules Chair report (John Kugel):  No report

 

Event Chair report (John Winter): 

·         Event applications may be pulled from the web site or from behind the starter’s desk.

·         There will be a pre-banquet event.  A sign up sheet will be available in the clubhouse entry way.

·         The Chili outing is set for October 17^th.

 

First Team report (Bob Romans): 

·         Results from September team matches at Currie:  Low scores belong to Mark Beyer and Jeff Ilk both with 76. High point getters were Mark Beyer with 21 and Tim Nielson with 12.

·         Year to date Oakwood is in 4^th Place.

 

Second Team report (Wayne Oberlander): 

·         No results are available for Second Team.

 

MCPLA report (Joe Jurkowski):

·         You now have two weeks to have automatic phone reservations for tee times. 

 

WPLA report (Joe Jurkowski/Roger Erdmann):  No report

 

WSGA report (Terry Sot): No report

 

Advertising Chair report (Joe Jurkowski): 

·         Please use the coupons in our membership book as that will make it easier to get ads for next year.  You may pick up your book behind the starter’s desk.

 

Classic coordinator report (Joe Jurkowski): 

·         Down to the final match!

 

Cup coordinator report (Tim Nielson): 

·         Down to the final pair!

 

Senior Cup coordinator report (Roger Erdmann): 

·         Down to the final pair!

 

Old Business:  Spouses are welcome to attend the banquet on October 24^th at 6:00pm at the Oakwood Clubhouse.

 

New Business: 

·         All applications and event information will be mailed out to everyone in Feb. of 2010.

·         Deadline for the Chili Outing is October 7^th.

·         Deadline for the banquet is October 14^th.

 

The next meeting date is March, 2010.
