MEETING MINUTES:
The meeting was held on Thursday, July 9th at

Pre-meeting
event:

Kevin and Tom will block off
three or four tee times on Sunday mornings for little “mini” events. If interested, please let Kevin or Tom know.
·
Kevin will send out e-mails
on special sales in the clubhouse.
·
Kevin would like to thank
everyone for helping to contribute to the Jr Golf
Program. $1,305 has been raised to date.
·
The Billy Sixty is July 25
and 26.
President’s report (Terry Winiarski):
·
It is not too late to sign
up for the Ron Hauer Memorial Flight Championship on
August 1 and 2. Please call Bob Romans
if you still intend to play.
Membership Chair report (Jim Hautala): Membership is currently at
116 including 3 new members.
Treasurer report (Bob Czaplewski): Report was read and
accepted.
Handicap Chair report (Rick Zingsheim):

Please remember to adjust
your scorecards accordingly. Rick recently had to adjust 7 cards.

Enter your match scores
whether you win or lose.
Rules Chair report (John Kugel): No report
Event Chair report (John Winter):

Please try to get your
entries in earlier rather than last minute if possible.

Please call Bob Romans if
you are intending to enter the Ron Hauer Memorial
Flight Championship on August 1 and 2.

Event applications may be
pulled from the web site or from behind the starter’s desk.
First Team report (Bob Romans):

A handicap of seven or less
is needed to play on First Team. Call
Bob Romans if you are interested.

Results from July 5th’s team
matches at Whitnall:
Oakwood took 4th place with 123 points. Low scores belonged to Dominic Carini with 75 and Jeff Ilk with 78.
Second Team report (Wayne Oberlander):

A handicap of eight or more
qualifies you to play on Second Team.

team matches at Oakwood: Oakwood took 4th
place with 188 points. Low score belongs
to Joe Jurkowski (score not available).

Next event is August 9th
at Grant Park.
MCPLA report (Joe Jurkowski):
·
Each county course will have
25 applications for MCPLA tournaments or you may pull an application from the
MCPLA website.
·
You now have two weeks to
have automatic phone reservations for tee times.
·
Biggest complaint from all
members is slow play.
·
Worker’s Tournament is
August 11th. The Arnold
Walker Tournament is at Brown Deer on August 29 and 30. Deadline for entries is August 14th. Information is available on the web site.
·
There was discussion on the
elimination of shot gun starts at first and second team matches due to much
harder to handle scoring data when everyone comes in at the same time.
WPLA report (Joe Jurkowski/Roger

WPLA is looking for
volunteers for their tournaments.
