Description
|
|
Tees by Flight - Shotgun start - This is a two-man
Chapman event. (2 man teams) Each player hits a tee shot. They then each
play a second shot using their partner's ball. At this point, they select
the best ball and the player who did not hit it plays, alternating shots
until the ball is holed (only the first two shots are hit by both players
on Par 4's; only the first shot on Par 3's; and three alternating shots
on Par 5's). You may select your own partner. If you don't have a partner
you will be assigned one. This is played at full handicap.
In addition to the alternate shot format. A string component will be
added. Each person will be given a length of string equal to his
handicap. (A 10 handicap will be given 10 feet of string). You may use
this string anywhere within the boundaries of the golf course to improve
your lie, get out from behind a tree, make a putt, etc. If you tear off
three feet to get relief from a tree, then you have 7 feet left to again
use anywhere.

**Any disqualified player is ineligible for any event
prize.
|
|
***While it is certainly possible to play in club
events without having met the obligation to maintain a current and proper
handicap, members who chose to do so are at risk of voiding any prizes they
may win.
|
|
****Remember the dress code: No cut offs, no frayed
jeans or jeans with holes, shirts must have a collar. Shorts must be knee
length. Pace of play will be watched. All club event scores must be posted
as a T for Tournament.
