Tuesday, 09 March 2003
FK Belasica GC remain top of the Macedonian First League
despite being held 1-1 by basement-club FK Kumanovo on Sunday.
Spot tests
Kumanovo took the lead after 36 minutes when captain Goran Georgievski converted
a penalty but Belasica replied in kind after the break, Zoran Baldovaliev
scoring from the spot during the second half for his tenth goal of the season.
Savic seals it
In the Skopje derby, FK Sloga Jugomagnat recorded a 2-1 win against FK
Vardar. The deadlock was broken four minutes into the second half when Serbia
and Montenegro international Ljubiša Savic found the net for Sloga - but two
minutes later Vardar's Srdjan Zaharievski equalized from the penalty spot. Savic
scored again midway through the half to wrap up all three points.
Dimitriveski double
Elsewhere, two goals from Bojan Dimitriveski helped FK Sileks to a
comfortable 3-0 victory against FK Tikveš. Borce Postolov scored the third for
Sileks, who remain in third position. FK Napredok were held to a 1-1 draw by FK
Cementarnica. The visiting team took a 38th-minute lead when Zanko Savov scored
from penalty spot - but five minutes later Vlatko Miceski scored the equaliser.
Trenoski to the rescue
FK Pobeda also settled for a share of the spoils as they drew 1-1 against FK
Bregalnica Delcevo. Dragan Trenoski's 73rd-minute equaliser cancelled out
Pobeda's first-half opener. |
