Dear all
Shortly informed by the
Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, I shall be required
to be a marker for the HKCEE English (Syllabus B) paper II this
year. I shall have to attend the marking sessions, and one of
which falls on 5/6. Therefore, further to the class
cancellation on 29/5, there will be no class on 5/6
as well.
In the meantime, I shall
arrange ONE make-up class for the tutorials originally scheduled
on 5/6 (but there will be no make-up class for the one on 29/5).
Our originally-scheduled final review test (see the previous email
below) will then be held in the make-up classes.
Here are the options
(tentative plans) for the make-up classes:
Class A: June 2
(Wednesday) - 2:30-4:00 (assigned for 8:45 class)
Class B: June 2
(Wednesday) - 4:00-5:30 (assigned for 10:45 class)
I am sorry that I do have
limited choices for you as a result of my fully-packed schedule in the
early June. If any of you cannot attend your
assigned session, you can switch to another available timeslot (i.e.
students in 8:45 class can attend class B if they cannot show up in
class A). You HAVE TO inform me in advance.
However, if
NEITHER of the sessions can fit into your schedule, please send me an
email so that I can make alternative plan to accommodate all of you.
I shall phone
you individually this upcoming week for advice.
Please kindly check your own schedule for the abrupt change in the
class arrangement, and confirm me with your availability in the call.
Best Regards
mh

On April 3 2004
Dear all
Please be reminded that our next class will be held on 24 April, when
we will be having a mock test. This test is meant to be a
preparation for your authentic form test on 14 May and includes:
Short comprehension
Verb Forms (Tenses)
Vocabulary (LE Unit 10)
Sentence rewriting (Active/Passive Voice and Gerund/Infinitive)
Proofreading
Secondly, please also note that you must attend your OWN
tutorial session for ALL classes except that you have
requested a TEMPORARY change BEFORE the class takes place! So,
may I remind Bear and Lam Ka Ming to return to their 10:45 session
from next lesson onwards? Attendance
WILL NOT BE COUNTED if you fail to inform me of your sudden change in
class attending schedule. I must strictly
enforce this rule as I have to avoid any of the class from
being OVERSIZED.
Happy Easter Holidays
