Hours

All of the days have so many hours, minutes, seconds,
Run around wishing for more time wondering why
Needing more time for work, play, sleep.
Plants need growing, sun.

So many things happening in all these hours, minutes, seconds.
Wake up to the darkness soon after the new cycle is born.
Nothing moves, something running, a car, a bath, a dog, and a jogger.
Glimpses of warmth bend around the earth longing for a new day.
Clothes pulled out, shower cleansing, car warming. Stop sign waiting.
Picking up for delivery  again; slinking our way to our house of learning;
Weaving, slamming, weaving, up, down, in, out, lunch.
Hunger, fortification, essential vitamins and minerals, caffeine;
Beef, chicken, or turkey?
Weaving, dodging, sitting, eating, fullness.

Back to inhaling info, my mind spilling over, wanting to melt down.
Reactor core beeping, emergency lights flashing, the bell ringing.
Returning lost items, delivered and returned, back to my shelter,
Junk food away!
Driving, stopping, going, looking, turning, left, right, forward, STOP!

Slow down, a policeman, speed up, hes gone, slow down, a light.
Stop at a money making experience.
Wipe this off, sweep this up, move this over here.
No, over here, dont touch that, See you later.
Home again, tired, hungry, thirsty, bored.
Idiot box is relief, horror, and meaning?

Dinner, more food, restlessness, complete exhaustion, falling asleep.
Only to wake up to darkness, to do it again, another cycle,
Only more hours, minutes, and seconds.
