QUESTIONS  FOR  ANSWERING
Fruitless hours, wasted years,
Fraught with anger, guilt and fears;
Will this be your epitaph,
Would this be the photograph or the book
Of your life, If into the past you'd look?

Always tomorrow, never today.
Someone in sorrow?  Look the other way.
Disfurnish yourself for someone else?
Too busy with me, myself and I,
Forget about him, he'll get by.

A shoulder to lean on, a helping hand,
Is this too much to give to a fellow man?
A listening ear when he needs you most,
A pat on the back, a cheerful laugh,
Are these too much to give in a friend's behalf?

These are priceless gifts to a person in need.
But to you they cost nothing, but whatever the deed
'Tis well worth the doing and in the end,
For your epitaph, what greater words could be written than
"Here lies a friend."
