| AS LONG AS GOD IS KING The world around, they say, abounds In gloom and misery. It's here and there and everywhere; Especially on T.V. But, "they" must view some other world Or see thru jaundiced eyes For everywhere I chance to glance, Therein some beauty lies. So lift up your voice in praise, sad world, Let "Alleluiah's" ring! For all is well, has been, will be As long as God is King! For all is well has been, will be As long as God is King! "They" talk as if "calamity" Could strike at anytime. And tell us that we came from nothing More than "ooze" and "slime". But they don't know the God I know Who's still upon the throne. Who's watching over all of it And calling for his own. That grief is very real I know; I am not unaware. But, tumult can turn into joy As long as God is there. So lift your voice in praise, sad world, Let "Alleluiah's" ring! For all is well, has been, will be As long as God is King! Marjorie K. Bell |
