                   Polynomials                                         Statistics and Probability

                   Rational Expressions and Equations

         

                   Please note that the order of the units may vary and every page

                   in each chapter may not be covered.

 

Evaluation:   Semester marks are calculated as follows:

                   Term work:  75%                                         Final Exam: 25%

                   Homework/Assignments              20%  

                   Notebook                                  5%   

                   Midterm                                   10%   

                   Quizzes & Chapter Tests           65%

 

Grading:       The letter grade is assigned based on the following percentages

 

                   A       86-100                                     C        60-66

                   B        73-85                                       C-      50-59

                   C+      67-72                                       F        0-49

 

Policy:         YOU are responsible for any missed assignments, homework,

                   quizzes or tests, otherwise you will be given an automatic zero.

                   If an assignment or homework is late, 10% per class day is

                   taken off. If you miss a quiz or test, you will take it on the day that you return.

 (Legitimate excuses will be taken into consideration) Homework checks: no late marks given, if not

complete automatic zero will be given.

 

Materials:  You are responsible to bring the following items to every class.

                   *textbook                       *binder with adequate supply of paper

                   *pencil, pen, eraser           *ruler

                   *scientific calculator
