Peanut Butter

There's a food going 'round,
That's a sticky sticky goo...
Peanut, Peanut Butter

Well it tastes real good
But it's so hard to chew
Peanut, Peanut Butter

All my friends tell me
That they dig it the most!
Peanut, Peanut Butter

Early in the morning
When they spread it on toast
Peanut, Peanut Butter

Chorus:
I like Peanut Butter
Creamy Peanut Butter
Chunky Peanut Butter too!

Peanut, Peanut Butter
(Open up your jar now)
Peanut, Peanut Butter
(Spread it on your cracker)
Peanut, Peanut Butter
(Scarf now)
Peanut, Peanut Butter

Chorus

My Grandma called
While I was havin' a snack
Peanut, Peanut Butter

My tongue got stuck
So I couldn't call back
Peanut, Peanut Butter

"My mouth is full Grandma"
Was all I could say
Peanut, Peanut Butter

"That's perfectly clear You sound lovely this way!"
Peanut, Peanut Butter

Chorus

One, two, one two, tres, quatro...
Peanut, Peanut Butter, yum yum
Peanut, Peanut Butter, no cholesterol
Peanut, Peanut Butter, goes down smooth
Peanut, Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter pizza,
Peanut Butter tacos,
Peanut Butter egg foo young

Peanut, Peanut Butter
(hic, hic, hic)
Peanut, Peanut Butter
(hotcha, hotcha,hotcha)
Peanut, Peanut Butter
(hat, hat, hat)
Peanut, Peanut Butter

Chunks of Peanut Butter!
Lumps of Peanut Butter!
Gobbs of Peanut Butter!
Globs of Peanut Butter!

Chorus

(Oh no! All gone!)

Brother for Sale

Well, we think this world
Is a real nice place
But we think that it's a crime
That we should have an older brother
Who picks on us all the time
So, next time he's sleeping in his room
We're goin' to sneak in and tie him
Then we'll talk him out into the street
And see if someone will buy him

Chorus:
Brother for sale
Only fifty cents
Brother for sale
He's not a big expense
You can hug him
You can bug him
You could buy or rent
Brother for sale,
Only fifty cents

Hey, would anybody like to buy
A slightly used big brother?
Even if you have one now
Trade him for another

He will help you with the chores
And he's fairly clean
The only problem is, sometimes
He can be so mean!

Chorus:
Brother for sale
Only twenty-five cents
Brother for sale
He's not a big expense
You can hug him
You can bug him
You could buy or rent
Brother for sale,
Only fifty cents

If mom knew we were selling him
We would really get it
Buy him now, don't pay 'til June
On approved credit
Buy him now, and we'll tell you
What we will do, mister
We'll even throw into the deal
Our little baby sister

Chorus:
Brother for sale
Only ten cents
Brother for sale
He's not a big expense
You can hug him
You can bug him
You could buy or rent
Brother for sale,
Only fifty cents

He will always pick you up
When you take a fall
And he's good at showing you
How to catch a ball
He always tells these funny jokes
And does this crazy dance
Hey, wait!
He sounds like a pretty nice guy...
Let's give him one more chance

Our brother's not for sale
Not for any price
Our brother's not for sale
We guess he will suffice
We like to hug him
We like to bug him
He's really rather nice
Our brother's not for sale
Not for any price!

Gonna' Stay in the Bathtub ('Til the Soap Disappears)

"Hey, Ash! There's water dripping from the ceiling! Right into my cereal."
"It must be our brother. He's upstairs taking a bath."
"I told you we should have sold him."

Bring on the clowns
Bring on the boats
Bring on the soap, make sure that it floats
Bring me my bubble bath, strawberry, please
Bring me some sandwiches, ice cream and cheese
I don't know how long this could go!

Chorus:
I'm gonna stay in the bathtub 'till the soap disappears
Stay 'till I'm wrinkled clean up to my ears
It may be for weeks and it may be for years
Gonna stay in the bath tub 'till the soap disappears

Something to wash with and something to scrub
Something to rubba and something to dub
Three plastic bottles, a one gallon pail
My blue rubber ducky, my green blubber whale
And now I'll step into the tub!

Chorus

Wait, I'm not ready-I nearly forgot
I'm here in the bath but the water is not
I just can't believe it
I just have to laugh
But at least it isn't too hot

Chorus (2 times)

Desperate For a Dog

Mom and Dad
Can't you see we're sad?
Pining away for a canine
Woah is me
Oh the misery
We'd like a dog
We lack a dog
Alas! Alack-a-dee!

Chorus:
Desperate
Desperate for a dog
We're just desperate for a dog!
Give us a puppy!
Not a gerbil or a frog
We're just desperate for a dog!
Give us a pooch!

A kid's best friend
To romp and frisk and bark
Lick your nose, shed on your clothes
Chase a frisbee in the park

Desperate
Desperate for a dog
We're just desperate for a dog!

We've asked you politely
For a year or two
You always say we'll see about it
Then you never do
Our friends all have got dogs
How do you thing we feel?
What's the big deal?
A collie or a dalmatian
A poodle or an Alsatian
Maltese, Pekinese
Please, oh please, oh please, oh please, oh please!

Chorus

We're begging!!!
Keep your hamster and your hog
We're just desperate for a dog!

It's no big thing
Any mutt will do
Let's trot to the pound, pick out a hound
Find a shoe for him to chew

Chorus

Hugged By You

Sometimes when the rain falls
Or when I'm feeling, really sad
Or if I get lonely
Or if I've behaved real bad

Chorus:
I'll get hugged by you
I'll feel better
Through and through
'Cause I've been hugged by you
I wish you knew
How much I love being hugged by you

Sometimes when I've fallen
Scraped my knee and bruised my pride
In the distance you'll be calling
And running' by my side

Chorus

I've been hugged by you
I wish you knew
How much I love being hugged by you
How much I love being hugged by you.

The new Kid

There once was kid
Who moved to the block
From down around the bend
He was a lonely new kid
And the new kid needed a friend

One day a boy on a bike rode by
The new kid waved and shouted
"Hi! Hi! I'm the new kid Would you be my friend?"

But...the boy on the bike said
"No indeed! I've got all the friends I need!
However...I know a girl in gold Who's very friendly, I'm told"

So, off they set on a little hike
The new kid and the boy on the bike
To find a friend for the new kid
'Cause the new kid needed a friend!

When they came to the girl in gold
The new kid tried to be very bold
"Hi! I'm the new kid Would you be my friend?"

But...the girl in gold said "Eeww, eeww
I hate boys and that means you!
However...I know a tiny tyke
You would be someone she'd like"

So, the girl in gold and the boy on the bike
And the new kid all set off on a hike
To find a friend for the new kid
'Cause the new kid needed a friend!

They found the tyke sitting in her crib
Dribbling Gerbers down her bib
"Hi! I'm the new kid Would you be my friend?"

But...they ting tyke said "Waa, waa!
Waa, waa, waa, waa, waa, waa!
I know a dopey dog He'd make friends with a log!"

So the tiny tyke and the girl in gold
And the boy on the bike and the new kid
All set off on a hike
To find a friend for the new kid
'Cause the new kid needed a friend!

To find the dog was not too hard
He was burying bones in a neighbor's yard
"Hi! I'm the new kid
Would you be my friend?"

But...the dopey dog said "Ruff, ruff!
Rauaaughf, ruf! ruf! ruf!"
And so the new kid hung his head
And very sadly said, "If I can't make friends with a friendly pup
I might as well give up!"

Weeks went by and his birthday came
And he still didn't have a friend to his name
When school was over home he trudged
And he started to cry and his face got smudged
And he opened the door..
And he rubbed his eyes...
And he heard a roar..."SURPRISE!"

Happy birthday new kid
From all your very new friends!
From the dopey dog and the tiny tyke
And the girl in gold and the boy on the bike
Now, every one of them was his friend
Things take time...
The end!

Neighborhood Kitchen Pots and Pans Rhythm Band

There's something special happening at our house today
Our friends are coming over and we're all gonna' play
But we're not playing with bricks or blocks or outside in the sand
We're heading for the kitchen
To play with pots and pans!

Chorus:
We're the neighborhood kitchen pots and pans rhythm band
Making' noise and having lots of fun
So when you feel the beat
Just stomp your feet and clap your hands
With the neighborhood kitchen pots and pans rhythm band

Scott's on the spaghetti pot
Linda's crashing lids
Philip hits the skillet
Tim taps the muffin tins
Gretal plays the kettle
Suzie plays the spoons
And before you know it
They're tapping out a tune

Chorus (2 times)

Salad spinner
Dust buster
How we wish the telephone would ring
(ring) YES!
Colanders, tupperware, eggbeaters, supperware
Come on! Lets make that kitchen sing!

Chorus

I Can't Hear My Parents Call

Mother: Mary-Kate!
Ashley: Mom's calling.
Mary-Kate: Really? I don't hear anything.
Mother: Time to brush your teeth!
Ashley: You're right. I don't hear anything either.

I hear caterpillars crawling
Through the grass so late at night
I hear the earth worms wiggling
In the early morning light

I can hear grasshoppers walking
On their feet so light and small
But not matter what I'm doing
I can't hear my parents call

Chorus:
I can't hear my parents call
Though they call out loud and clear
They can shout until they're hoarse
It will never reach my ears
If they're shouting' in the summer
If they're screaming' in the fall
Any season, any reason
I can't hear my parents call

I can always hear the secrets
That my parents try to keep
I can hear them late at night
When they thing that I'm asleep
When they're whispering' in the basement
I can hear them in the hall
But when they want to get me
I can't hear my parents call

Chorus

They took me to the doctor
She wired up my ears
I heard the softest sound
That anyone could hear

She gave me a certificate
It's hanging on my wall
It says my ears are great
I just can't hear my parents call

Chorus x 2

Identical Twins

Hello!
We're twins, we're twins, yes sir
I am me she is she
Except when I pretend I'm her

And when we switch
You can't tell which is which
You don't know who you're talking to
Because we're identical, 'dentical, 'dentical, identical twins!

We look a lot alike
But we are not alike
I'm loud!...I'm quiet
She's serious...she's a riot

We're totally, totally
Different, different
Identical twins!

We read different stories
We watch different shows
In our slightly different colored hair
We wear different bows

We dance to different music
We laugh at different jokes
Gosh, gosh
It's like we're...two different folks

Though we appear alike
We're nowhere near alike
She's sweet...she's saucy
What's that mean? You're bossy
Says you...it's true
Is not!...Is too!

We're totally, totally
Different, different
Identical twins!

I am not a xerox
I am not a clone
A duplicate, a copycat
A second scoop...on the ice cream cone

Friends, pals, partners, chums
But we're marching to different drums

We look a lot alike
But we are not alike
Two...two, totally...totally, utterly...utterly
Opposite...opposite, totally...totally, different...different
Identical twins!

Two...two, totally...opposite, utterly...different
Opposite...utterly, totally...opposite, different...totally
Identical twins!

Identical twins!
Deedle-leedle-lee, dum!

Show and Tell

Ashley: Yeah, yeah, Bob. That should do it.
Mary-Kate: Who was on the phone so early in the morning?
Ashley: Our friend, Bob. He wanted to know the best way to pretend he's sick.
Mary-Kate: How come?
Ashley: First grade. he can't take the pressure.

It's Sunday night and tomorrow is the day
I'll sit down in the circle
and Miss Cunningham will say...
"Who's brought something special, who would like to share?"
I'd rather eat raw spinach than be there!

Show and Tell, I just can't take it
Show and Tell, I'll never make it
Everybody brings such interesting things
But not me

Show and Tell, I'm gonna flunk it!
Show and Tell, I've always stunk at
Finding something cool
To show the other kids at school

Like Jennifer brought a sea shell
Jessica showed her snake
Justin brought his new little brother
A real live baby, give me a break!
Nicholas had a fossil
And Natalie had a skull
I looked on my shelf and said to myself
"Dull, dull, dull!"

Show and Tell, the others love it
He gets hives, just thinking of it
Anything I choose
Is sure to be a total snooze

Once I brought a marble,
A really pretty marble
The kids said "Look...a marble..."
I thought I was gonna die

A Show and Tell day victim
But Mondays, now, I've licked them
I stand on two feet and tell a complete
Lie, lie, lie!

Like Show and Tell-oops, I forgot mine!
Show and Tell-a hunter shot mine!
Lost it on the way-Is it Show and Tell
Today? Ahh gee!

Show and Tell-a freight train hit mine!
Show and Tell-a pitbull bit mine!
Had it in my hand-I just don't
understand, where did it go?

Show and Tell-has lit a fire
In the heart of this little liar-I didn't know
it could fly, Mrs. Cunningham, really!
Show and Tell-my brother ate it!
Show and Tell-my dog peed on it?

Show and Tell-turns out I was allergic to it
and I got this rash and I couldn't breathe
and my mother said
"Drop that thing before it kills you"
Honest!

Show and Tell

Imagine (Pachelbel's Canon)

I can imagine wonderful things
Caves in the backyard, boats with wings
And I can turn any old, everyday thing I find
Into something useful with my mind

Chorus:
Cardboard carton English castles
Laundry basket racing cars
Dinosaurs in secret hideouts
Jungle gyms that fly to the stars

Imagine, imagine
That is what I do all day
And my imagination could change the world someday

Chorus 2 x

And our imaginations could change the world someday!
And our imaginations will change the world today!
