Bienvenue, and Welcome! I am Mike Vizcarra, and I graduated from Stanford University, having majored in Human Biology and now planning a career in medicine. I currently work at a silicon valley start-up called Hipbone, where I am a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer. Yes, I recognize that this has little to do with medicine but I just had to have a piece of that yummy dot.com pie (of course, it's not so yummy these days...).
I am very much into music, and have been playing guitar for 10 years now. Once, a long time ago (longer now than it seems), I was in a ska band called Inspector, located in Apple Valley, CA. More recently, a group of us from work formed a band called Lunar Shuttle, but drugs and women ripped us apart before we could even play a gig. Oh well, better than falling from the top like so many other rock groups (right?). My favorite band is Dave Matthews, but I like a wide variety of music from Neil Young to Staind to Metallica to Eric Clapton.
Other than playing music, I enjoy skiing at Mammoth Mountain and watching/playing football (Go Jets!). I am a huge fan of Stanford Athletics, and played on the Stanford Rugby team.
