Hi Everyone,
The ATV Interest Group (of the Auckland VHF Group inc.) is proud to announce the project to construct a STSP ATV Repeater.
A Form 10 application to FMTAG (Frequency Management & Technical Advisory Group of NZART inc.)for a permanent frequency allocation is under consideration by NZART Council.
Basically the STSP ATV Repeater will be equipped with a transmitter AND receiver for each of these commonly used ATV bands: 70cm (431.25 MHz VSB), 50cm (615.25 MHz VSB), 23cm (1248/1280 MHz FM) & 3cm (WBFM). A 2m transceiver on the ATV secondary telecontrol channel 147.450 MHz and a 6m band FM transceiver (frequency to be allocated by FMTAG) is part of the package.
Only those appropriate to the situation encountered will be deployed at any one time. It may link into existing ATV repeaters & extenders also, as the situation suits.
The first use occurred at the 2001 Easter Technology Convention in Whangarei.
Much of the equipment has been obtained already through fundraising efforts or trading or constructed by members.
The initial trustees of the STSP ATV Repeater are to be Wayne ZL1UJK & Michael ZL1ABS.
