The article stated that the new pope, had put a bar that would not allow any homosexual to join the secular fatherhood. Makes me wonder if the priesthood has the don�t ask don�t tell policy. I also wonder if there is a grandfather clause that protects gay priest that have already been ordained. If not were going to have some pissed off padres with no work. This band also includes priest who are non practicing homosexuals, how can you be a non practicing homosexual, you either are or your not. Last I heard for a man to be a priest they had abstain from all forms of sex, which would denie sex from a heterosexual or a homosexual.
The church has it reason though for not wanting homosexual priest. It feels that by getting rid of priest that are homosexual they are protecting the children.
