Hines Theater
Founded 1997

The website you are visiting is "Hines Theater." Hines Theater or alternatively Hines Theatre was a youthful creation of Michael Hines, of Hingham, Massachusetts. It was meant to be a webspace to feature news and information about the popular musicals "Phantom of the Opera" and "Les Miserables." The website was established in 1997 as Michael Hines' first attempt at HTML authoring or webdesign. Mr. Hines has since moved on to other web projects such as the homepage of Kids' Cabaret, for Women in Informal Employment, Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO) and for Inferential Focus, Inc.

Hines Theater was largely completed in its current form by late 1998. Continuing development of the site halted at the five year anniversary, September 2002. Hines Theater was originally published by The HIRSHFIELD Corporation, a now defunct umbrella entity for early websites developed by Michael Hines.

The following text is the original description offered on this page in 1997:

Hines Theater is an online production of Michael Hines. Michael Hines has several online sites, is the Co-Webmaster of the Broadway Musicals Webring, and you can learn a whole bunch of other stuff about him by clicking here! Hines Theater is a virtual theater. There is no actual Hines Theater anywhere in America, England or beyond. Several shows "play" at Hines Theater, and new shows are added every once in awhile. For best results, widen your browser to fill your screen. Hines Theater is graphic rich so set your monitor to maximum colors. Background music plays throughout the theater, so to listen best, get a midi plugin from www.liveupdate.com because they make the best one, and Hines Theater is pre-customized for it. Be patient while the graphic rich sites dowload if you have a slower modem. I use ISDN so I'm not sure how fast the average person can download the site. If you find any mis-information or faulty links in this site please e-mail me. Don't forget to visit my personal homepage here.

Michael Hines has been online since 1994. He is currently the Webmaster of four webpages located at geocities. Michael Hines is also one of the Co-Ringmasters for the Broadway Musicls Webring, and is on the advisory board for the Phantom Webring.

At this time Michael Hines is an unemployed high school student.
