ART GALLERY

Paul Ruhland in the 1940s(?) This gallery of my artwork is dedicated to my father, Paul Ruhland, who recently died on his birthday. (There must be some significance to that. Who knows what.) For years, Daddy thought I should have studied art. He had a lot of ideas. He thought them all through quite thoroughly in his head. My parents Then, when they popped out during a discussion, he was disappointed that it wasn't immediately embraced by one and all. What was our problem? Couldn't we see that it was the best solution, the greatest innovation? Unfortunately, I tend to do the same. Only, the idea never pops out. It lays there fermenting. As for the study of art, I never did, but Daddy was probably right.
