Hi there! My name is Mark, and I'm 42. I'm a teacher of students in the areas of mathematics, physics, computer science, and the unofficial course of Life 101. I have to admit my life's taken some drastic turns over the past two years, but I use my coping skills to make it through each day, and life is returning to normal.

The most important thing to me is to remain peaceful, and I find I accomplish this best by being with my daughter or spending time outdoors. I enjoy (very) long walks. When I have time for an extended retreat I love to go camping. At home, that peace is attained through cooking, reading, and lighting candles and incense while absorbing a widely-varied taste in music. (How varied? Here are the last ten cd's I've purchased....)

About the only goal in life I haven't attained yet is to be published. I am in the process of writing the textbook series we use where I teach, and also have novels and non-fiction works swirling through my head. Many times when I go for those walks, it's to get thoughts translated into words. (The seeds of some of these works are scattered throughout the website; feel free to wander.)
