Fisher Peak

In the area I grew up, Fisher Peak is the tallest peak. I climbed it for my first time at the age of 19. Since then I've climbed to the top 2 more times. The increase in elevation is about 5000 feet. The view from the top is spectacular.

This photo is looking down to the left of the shale area that one has to scramble up to reach the saddle of the mountain. The shale is tricky to climb, and you often slide back half the distance you step forward. However, boot skiing down this slope at the end of the day is entertaining.

This is the view to the east of Fisher Peak from the
top of the peak.
