St. Charles WQI Summary
The water that was tested
from the Fox
River
in St.
Charles tested out relatively good. The overall WQI was
67.03. That data falls in the range of 50-70 (medium). The amount of dissolved oxygen
was 81% saturated. The pH was 7.4, that is neutral.
The temperature is also very cool so that there is enough oxygen for all types
of creatures to live. The Only high amount of the test results was the total
solids and the nitrates. Those were the lowest scores on the data chart. There
was 1200mg/L of total solids. That can cause water heating and therefore a less
amount of dissolved oxygen in the water. The phosphate level was rather high
too. It was 4.3mg/L (Q-value 13), which makes it the lowest Q-value on the
chart for St. Charles. It makes the water .52
better then the water at the Batavia area. Over all the other
tests came out excellent. So the water is safe and the WQI is pretty good.
