What is ADD Coaching? ...Planning and setting goals ...building organizational strategies ...time management and prioritizing skills ...developing strategies to maintain focus and concentration ...creating structure, support and encouragement ...effectively managing ADD in the workplace. How Does ADD Coaching Work? The client and coach work as a team, identifying areas of difficulty and agreeing on strategies to use to begin the process of overcoming these difficulties. The client agrees to become accountable. The coach can work with a client by telephone, fax, and/or by email. Individuals with ADD are often aware that they must design their environment so they will be productive and have the proper reminders built in. Using people like supervisors or spouses as coaches often generates feelings of inadequacy and frustration due to the nature of these relationships.
Warming Families is a crafting project sponsored by.. Alan Osmond's One Heart Foundation and TheFamily.com. It is designed to get people involved in helping provide warm items for homeless shelters, domestic violence homes and orphanages around the world through the creation and donation of homemade blankets, hats, mittens, slippers, etc. We welcome contributions from individuals, families, church groups & senior centers. I am the area volunteer (AV) for the Toledo, Ohio area. My job is to collect the finished or newly purchased warm items and deliver them to local shelter(s). Donations are currently going to Family House. Please send items to: Warming Families 2620 Ivy Place Toledo, Ohio 43613
"Coaching can be the client's way of designing an environment that meets his or her own unique needs."
The coach is an emotionally neutral person. The coach can offer suggestions and reminders, provide structure and boundaries, and be perceived by the client as helpful and supportive. In addition to working in particular skill areas the ADD coach supports clients in examining lifestyle issues and making changes. Areas such as diet, sleep habits, exercise programs and other aspects of self-nurturing are examined. Recommendations are made to foster health and balance in these important aspects of daily life. Coaches also help clients with feelings of being overwhelmed & learn to select target areas to concentrate on.
