The above photo was taken as we were offloading in Thailand for Operation Cobra Gold. |

Our normal work schedule on ship was about 18 hours a day, but on Sunday we still had time to relax when there were not flight operations going on. This particular day the weather was night and I had just completed a run on the flight deck, so I was doing some studying for an online course I was taking. |

We did manage to squeeze in a round of golf or two while we were on liberty in Thailand. |

It was over 98 degrees at 8:00 AM! Damn Hot! |

While we were deployed in Thailand, we established a camp in a jungle area, which had some rice shacks close by. The people who ran these rice shacks provided meals, drinks and even washed your clothes at a very cheap rate. This little girl was always at the rice shack, and she was absolutley adorable, so I had to take a picture of her. Thailand is known as the "Land of Smiles", and she definitely made me smile. |
