Before you even think of becoming a model, be aware of the following facts. They will help make your decision an easier one.

Less than 5% of the individuals, who wish to become models, will actually receive a paying assignment.

5% of the models that get a paying assignment will make enough to consider themselves part-time employed as a model.

In the States, there are about 25,000 models that make an average salary of around $30,000 a year.

Then of course there is the very small group of elite models, which we know as super models. They have created a chasm between what they earn ($10,000 - $20,000 a day) and what the average model brings home. This is probably what misleads most when it comes to judging one's potential as a model in the fashion world.

Film and Television have glamorized the industry and don't reflect the patience and endurance needed by the models to measure up to the hard work expected from them by others.
So you want to be a model?
