Worrisome Skies
as the ash ridden wind departs and arises
like the miracle of rebirth a rain storm
steadily increases the volume of water
to walk through and possibly across
children can hear the bubbles in the puddles
swishing and wishing them well on easter sunday
as parents see only worrisome skies for that is
their practice in a world so embattled in strifeyet a greater vision is seen in the eyes of the Lord
as the beginning of spring can easily attest
the hard rain is always followed by sunshine
and if we are lucky a rainbow of a harvest
awaits!
