Comfrey � another herb well-known for its healing properties. Often available as a botanical extract, or as an infused or macerated oil. Added to creams and balms to treat everything from bruises to stretch marks.
INCI name: Symphytum officinale

Cupuacu (Exfoliant Cupuacu) � from the seeds of a tree sustainably harvested in the South American rainforest and certified as an organic production, cupuacu provides a very fine and luxurious exfoliant for scrubs and gels. Smells faintly of chocolate, being related to Cacao.
INCI name: Theobroma grandiflorium

Dead Sea Salt � can be used as it comes in baths, or added to recipes to exfoliate, draw out toxins and stimulate skin. Non-irritating to most skin types.
INCI name: Sodium Chloride

Evening Primrose Oil � another oil with a high concentration of Gamma Linoleic Acid (about 12%) and a good source of Omega 3 and Omega 6. Again, a dry, thin oil, so often used as an additive along with richer ingredients.
INCI name: Oenothera biennis

Glycerine � used to retain moisture and soften in hair and skincare products, soaps etc. It�s important to look carefully in order to source a good vegetable (non-animal) glycerine, but they are out there, and many kosher glycerines are also available.

Grapeseed Oil � a dry oil that blends well with other carriers and makes a great, non-greasy balm. Keeps well.
INCI name: Vitis vinifera

Green Tea Extract - The antioxidant properties of green tea are well known, and an extract is available usually as a powder to add to your recipes.
INCI name: Camellia sinensis

Hazelnut Oil � High concentrations of Omega 9 in this half-fatty oil make it a great lubricant and skin softener. Helps improve skin elasticity and can be used in many kinds of skin and hair treatments.
INCI name: Corylus avellana
Hemp Seed Oil � an extremely dry oil that is very mild but doesn�t keep for very long. Short shelf life can be compensated for by the addition of vitamin E (Hemp oil is often available with vitamin E already added), and it is a great addition to recipes for oily skin, as well as in some sensitive skin recipes. High amounts of Vitamin F, Omega 3 and Omega 6.

Jojoba Grains � peeling grains extracted the wax of the jojoba plant. Smooth and non-irritating to skin, they are fine grains which are good for exfoliating dead skin and improving circulation when added to scrubs, shower gels etc.
INCI name: Hydrogenated jojoba oil

Jojoba Oil � a dry oil that softens, protects and helps keep skin hydrated. Very good for most skin types and many different hair and skin recipes.
INCI name: Simmondsia chinensis

Kaolin � a soft white mineral clay excellent for toning facial masks. Can be drying to the skin, and also used in peeling creams and toothpastes.

Lecithin - a soya vegetable extract for use on very dry skin, also an excellent additive in intensive hand and foot creams.
INCI name: Lyosolecithin

Macadamia Nut Oil � a fatty, easily absorbed oil that is great for mature, dry or dehydrated skin. 
INCI name: Macadamia tetraphylla

Mango Butter - Derived from mango seed kernels. Excellent moisturiser and lubricant, and very good for dry or chapped skin.
INCI name: Mangifera indica

MF Emulsifier � another Aromantic product I use. Used in combination with VE Emulsifier (Glyceryl stearate) to emulsify creams and lotions. Made from vegetable sources and apparently the same ingredients used to emulsify some vegan ice creams.
INCI name: Sodium stearoyl lactylate
Moringa Oil � another less common oil, produced largely in Uganda and Tanzania. Strongly antioxidant, keeps very well and is a great emollient for dry or damaged skin.
INCI name: Moringa oleifera

Neem Oil � a half-fatty, strong-smelling oil, traditionally used in Ayurvedic practice. Many people swear by its healing and protective effects on the skin, and it is also widely used for dry hair.
