I vow vengeance!
"The next creation I build will bring you all to your ultimate doom!" it was the exact words of Surgate to the Maverick Hunters in the 'Maverick Hunter Adventures X!!' Comic series. Surgate was defeated by the Maverick Hunters in a violent battle. Surgate was devastated by the fact that his great creations, Gamma and Seraph Blade, and Kurayami Blade were defeated by the Hunters. For that, he swore vengeance...
The horror begins...
It would not be long before Surgate would find that ultimate creation. He would unleash his creation in a series of deadly attacks on not only the Maverick Hunters, but on the comic spectators who assisted the author. Doing this, it broke a hole in the fourth wall that would result in one of the most violent and devasting battles to the comic as it fought for its very own right to exist.
Versus the Maverick Hunters...
Weapon X would eventually challenge the Maverick Hunters. Using the powers of the author (who Weapon X took back to Surgate and were testing on), he creates an arena and traps each Hunter. When Weapon X defeats one, he moves on to another one who would recently be freed. Weapon X narrowly loses when he fails to realize that Blade (who had turned on Surgate and the Neo Mavericks earlier) wasn't completely beaten. Shadow is freed and the two take down Weapon X.
Down but not out...
Weapon X was beaten at that time, but certainly did not give in. Regenerating himself and getting to his feet, he would send the Maverick Hunters to Surgate's HQ... the heart of the storm itself. There, he would challenge the Maverick Hunters to a final duel... along side the best of the Neo Mavericks. The Neo Mavericks and the Maverick Hunters fought each other hard though because of Weapon X, the Neo Mavericks seemed to have gained the victory. However, but passing out, Shadow would bring back an important person to Michael's life -- Snow Lockheart. Snow was the teacher of Michael taught him everything he knew. Michael and Snow cared a lot for each other and Snow had been killed in her previous life. The guilt Michael felt would slowly bring Weapon X back to consciousness. Surgate, realizing this, would order his Neo Mavericks to kill Snow. Weapon X would pass out and be unable to do anything to help Snow, but would regain his true memory. When seeing Snow die again in front of his eyes, Snow's final words to Michael would set him off, and he would restore the Hunters and go after Surgate in a furious rage.
The Grand Finale...
Michael would regain all his memories and would be enraged with Surgate. He would dash up to Surgate and transport the two to the roof of the HQ. There, he would challenge Surgate to a final duel. Surgate would try to persuade Michael not to kill him, but it was only a stall as he tried to blow Michael's head off. The only thing Surgate succeeded in doing was destroy Michael's helmet. Michael would then run Surgate through his with saber, killing the mad scientist and ending the Neo Maverick war... for now.
Michael does not know if he'll ever be forgiven for what he had done nor does he believe he deserves it. But he does know that he will have to fight again... some day... in the future...
