Alexa stared out of her window and sighed, "Steve, how much longer until we get there?" She still sat staring at the ocean miles below.
"Alexa," a voice from beside her explained, "we still have a couple hours yet. How about a game of cards?"
Steve looked over her shoulder and stared directly at her gorgeous boyfriend. He had bright blue eyes that seemed to smile at her but she could see the troubled look he always had had. He had short brown hair and a smile that could kill. "You had a deck of cards and didn't tell me," she exclaimed.
Steve looked somewhat embarrassed by this question, "Uhh, yeah, I guess-I guess so," he stammered.
Steve looked at Alexa and remembered their first date which was a little over three years ago. They had gone to the Valentine's Day Dance in there hometown, Janesville. In his mind, she was still the most beautiful creature in the whole world.
Steve looked around the crowded jumbo plane. There were many Americans and Oriental people. He was surprised to see so many Americans were going to the Orient.
"Steve?"
As for he and Alexa, they were going to Japan. Summer was just about over and Alexa found out that she was going to be a foreign exchange student and study in Tokyo at Juuban High School. As for himself, he was eighteen and was kicked out of his house. He was going to go live with his penpal, Darien. He and Darien were real close friends through the mail and they wanted to meet each other in person, so this was a perfect plan. The past two months have been used corresponding by mail and telephone to get all the details worked out. Alexa and Steve were to be enrolled as Seniors in Juuban high in the coming semester.
"Steve?"
"Hmm...Oh, what?" Steve snapped out of his thoughts.
"Are you ok? I thought you were going to get the cards out, and then you zoned out on me. Are you really that bored?" Alexa gazed into Steve's eyes with a concerned look.
"Bored? With you as my company? You know me better than that, Alexa!" He gave her a playful punch, "As for the cards, card hustler, you know you always win, so why play at all?"
"Hey, it's not my fault that I have nothing to do but play cards and pool during my free time. and it's not my fault that I have three plus hours of freetime each night, Matiathis!"
Steve shrugged knowing he had lost the argument. He then pulled a deck of cards from his jacket pocket and delt the card, "By the way, Alexa, I love it when you call me by my full name."

Sarah looked up from her book to see the new girl who was going to be in her class. The sensai had introduced the girl as Alexa Brown, an exchange student from America. Sarah was excited because she had just moved to Tokyo from America the year before and also because Alexa's seat was right behind her. Sarah turned around and introduced herself, "Hi, I'm Sarah. How are you?"
"Oh, hi, I'm Alexa, but I guess you know that already. I'm fine thank you. I'm kinda nervous, though. I don't know much about the Japanese language except for the more graphic words."
"Don't worry," Sarah assured Alexa, "I can help you out."
The sensai was looking harshly at the two girls. Alexa looked up and saw this and immediately sank down in her seat.
"Sarah," the sensai scolded, "you can talk after class...with me."
Sarah quickly turned around and also sank into her seat, "Yes, sir," she replied.
As soon as the sensai turned around, Alexa leaned up and whispered, "Sorry," into Sarah's ear. Sarah just shrugged.

"Ami, do we have to go to the temple today?"" Serena asked her blue haired friend.
"Serena, stop playing. You know we need to be at the meeting. If we're late, Rei and Lita are going to kill us!" Ami exclaimed.
Serena protested back, "But there have been no signs of the Negaforce or aliens like Anne and Alan for months!"
"I don't know why," Ami admitted, "but you have to think, it has been kind of too quiet lately."
"It's just because we were so busy fighting the Negaforce and Allen and Anne that makes it seem so quiet now, that's all," Serena pleaded.
"Yeah, I guess it's that, too. But," Ami looked down at her watch and started running pulling Serena behind her, "we're late! They're gonna kill us!"
Two minutes later they arrived at the temple and were greeted by Rei, "Serena?! What have you been doing? and how could you keep Ami to being late with you?"
"Sorry Rei, I didn't know that the meeting was that important," Serena replied.
Ami and Serena followed Rei into the temple where they saw Lita and Mina sitting and talking to Luna and Artemis. Luna looked up, "I wondered when you girls would get here."
"Hey you guys,: Ami piped up, "did you happen to see the new foreign exchange students at school today?"
"Yes, I did," cried Serena, "Did you see Steve? He's such a major hunk!"
"No, I don't remember seeing anybody new," Lita thought out loud.
"I have anew girl in my Chemistry class," Mina said, "I think her name was Alexa. She seems pretty nice."
"I have Alexa in two of my classes and Steve in another one," Ami explained, "But there's something different about them. I'm not as good as Rei about these things, but they may be from the Negaforce or even aliens like Anne and Alan."
"I see we're going to have a problem," sighed Luna.

Alexa sighed happily in Steve's arms. They were sitting on a park bench going over the time they had in school.
"I met the coolest girl at school today," Alexa announced. "Her name is Sarah Noe and she's American, too."
"Really?" Steve asked. "Is she an exchange student also?"
"Nope. Her dad was transferred to some job over here last year and he dragged his family along."
Alexa gazed up into the darkening sky and saw the first star of the night, "It's so peaceful out here, nothing like Janesville. I wonder if Chris and Mandy miss me yet."
Just then a flash streaked across the sky, "Oh Steve, a falling star! Let's make a wish!"
"I don't think that would be necessary," a deep voice taunted from behind them. No, it was in front of them. above them? The voice seemed to have come from everywhere.
"Are you ready to die yet?" the voice sounded again.
Steve jumped off the bench, "Show yourself. Or are you too coward to do it!"
The voice laughed and focused itself into a point right in front of Steve. From nowhere, a man with long bright green hair appeared. He had a sly smile and narrow green eyes.
"A little feisty, aren't we?" the man mused, "Well, you won't be around much longer to enjoy anything else!"
"Who are you? Where do you come from?" Steve demanded. It was apparent that he was scared. Alexa, who was still on the bench, was so overcome with fear that she couldn't move, let alone speak.
The man bowed mockingly as he introduced himself, "I am Calcite from the Dark Mass Kingdom of the Negaforce. I have come to take over your world. And you two will do to start with!" A stream of neon-green light shot out of his hand and hit Steve and Alexa. It wasn't very strong at first but as Calcite was sucking the life energy from his victims he became stronger and stronger.
"Steve, what's...happening?" Alexa struggled to ask.
Steve didn't answer. He had lost so much energy that he was now unconscious.
"No! You can't do that to us. We're not weak like that! Stop it now!" Alexa screamed as a last surge of energy ran through her body and she managed to stand up.
"I'd listen to her if I was you, evil doer! Stop this inhumanity right this instant," a voice from behind Alexa called out. Five girls rushed to her side, "We are the Sailor scouts!" the four strangers called out.
This surprised Calcite and he stopped draining Steve's and Alexa's energy.
A girl in a red skirt stepped forward, "I am SailorMars, from the fire planet Mars. In it's behalf I will destroy you!"
Next, a girl in a green skirt stepped forward, "I am SailorJupiter, from the planet of life, Jupiter. In its behalf I will strike you down!"
A girl in an orange skirt stepped up next, "I am SailorVenus, from the beautiful planet, Venus. In its behalf I will bring you down!"
A fourth girl in a light blue skirt stepped forward, "I am SailorMercury, from the ice planet, Mercury. In its behalf I will not let you prevail!"
The last girl in a dark blue skirt stepped up, "I am SailorMoon, champion of justice! I will right wrongs and triumph over evil, and that means you. On behalf of the moon, I will punish you!"
"Great show girls," Calcite laughed, "but I'm not that easily taken care of as you'll see."
Alexa fell to her knees from exhaustion. She looked over at her saviors, the Sailor Scouts, "We're lucky Steve," she thought, "to have such wonderful saviors." She then grabbed Steve's limp hand and fell asleep.
"Mars Flame...Ignite!" SailorMars cried out as a fireball formed at her fingertips and spiraled towards Calcite.
Calcite dodged the flames, "You'll have to do better than that!"
Just then, Jupiter called out, "Jupiter Thunder...Crash!" An aura of electricity surrounded SailorJupiter and she sent a lightening bolt speeding towards Calcite. Again, Calcite managed to jump out of the way unscathed.
"You brats are no match for me, "he raged, "I'll spare you for now. Next time you won't get away so easily." a harsh darkness fell over everyone and then a bright green light filled the air. After it subsided, Calcite was nowhere to be seen.
"Who was that guy?" SailorMoon asked.
"I don't know, but he wasn't from anywhere we know. Did you seethe black teardrop on his forehead?" SailorJupiter noticed.
"Hey, girls, check this out," Luna cried staring at the two sleeping victims, "I've never seen anything like this before!"
As Steve and Alexa were laying on the ground, a faint glow emanated from their foreheads. Steve had the faint sign of Orion; Alexa had the faint sign of Phoenix.
"Do you suppose they're Sailor Scouts, too," Jupiter asked.
"I don't know," replied Luna, "but if they are, I hope they're on our side."
Ami was still staring the two people lying on the ground, "you guys? These are the Americans I was talking about earlier."
Steve and Alexa stirred and started to wake up.
"Let's go," whispered Venus and all the sailor Scouts ran off and detransformed from their sailor fuku.
The Sailor Scouts weren't the only ones there that night though. They didn't know they were being watched. someone else had seen the Orion and Phoenix symbols on the American's foreheads. That someone was very happy, "They're here," the person whispered.
