  How Could They?

They said it,
That thing I feared.
How could they?
Don't they have a heart?
Obviously not.
For they said it.
That thing I feared.
To make them feel good,
And others, to laugh.
Whilst I sit alone here,
In the dark,
Cold and mocked.
They said it.
That thing I feared.
How could they?
Others laugh and have good times.
I feel alone and derided.
For they said it.
That thing I feared.
I wish I wasn't different.
That I could laugh and lark about.
With out being taunted,
Tormented,
With out a friend.
They said it.
That thing I feared.
How could they?
