Ending of Final Fantasy 10
After the defeat of Jecht (Sin), and Yu Yevon, it is time for the final sending. Yuna does her dance, sending off all of her precious aeons. Auron is also sent, much to the reluctance of Yuna. His final words were "This is your world now", meaning that the unsent would no longer be ruling the living world. The sending of the aeons also meant the fayth were no longer needed, thus the tired fayth stopped dreaming their Zanarkand...the dream Tidus is a part of...

As Yuna's dance draws to a close, Tidus notices his hands beginning to flicker, disappearing and reappearing. As he looks up he notices that Yuna saw it to. She shakes her head, trying to deny it. He tells her that he has to go, and says sorry to the rest of the team. He begins to walk away, leaving the rest of the team stunned. Rikku yells out "we're going to see you again..." while many others just stair or gasp. Yuna sadly watches.

As Tidus walks away, Yuna can no longer stand it, and begins to run after him. Kimahri yells out to her and Tidus turns around to catch her. Unfortunately Yuna goes right through him, falling to the ground stunned.

The rest of the team is shocked as well, but they don't move. Yuna remains on the ground a few moments while pyreflies float in the air and pass through Tidus. Finally she slowly stands, but does not turn to Tidus. Instead she looks out to the sky, and says "I love you".

Tidus turns to look at her, but she doesn't face him. He has a pained expression across his face, because he knows that he can't stay. He walks up behind her and holds his arm around her. He holds this 'embrace' for a while, and then walks forward...through her.

Yuna does not move after him this time, and watches silently, along with the rest of the team (Rikku is waving and Wakka is pacing) as he breaks out into a run, and fades off into the distant clouds that were Sin.
As Tidus floats into the clouds, he joins up with Lord Braska, Auron, and his old man Jecht. As he approaches Jecht he gives him a high five, and then the screen blanks out.

The next screen shows a close up of Yuna, and slowly pulls away showing where she is. She is whistling on the dock of Luca, outside of the blitzball arena. If you remember earlier in the game, Tidus had promised to come to her call when he taught her to whistle, so that is what she is doing, hoping for him to come back to her. Lulu walks up to the dock saying "Yuna, its time" and walks back towards to arena. Yuna stops whistling for a moment to look out to the water, before she too begins to walk to the arena.

Yuna is in the arena, and declaring a speech in front of the people of Spira. This is how it goes:
"Everyone...everyone has lost something precious. Everyone has lost homes, dreams, and friends. Everybody...Sin is finally dead. Now Spira is ours again"
The crowd cheers at the news.

"Working together... Now we can make new homes for ourselves, and new dreams. Although I know the journey will be hard we have lots of time. Together we will rebuild Spira. The road is ahead of us, so lets start out today."
With this Yuna begins to hesitate, and she turns to look at her friends behind her for support. The crowd cheers again loudly, And Wakka gives a gesture of encouragement. With this, Yuna turns back to the crowd and finishes her speech...
"Just one more
thing...
The people and the friends that we have lost,"
then she
says more to herself: "or the dreams that have faded...."
Then memories of hers flip through the screen, the wedding, Macalania lake, and other scenes of Tidus...
"Never Forget them"
The credits roll, and the final fantasy 10 theme song "Suteki Da Ne" sung by a young folksinger named Rikki plays. After the credits are done, another scene appears:

And that concludes the game of Final Fantasy 10. The ending scene can be interpreted in many different ways, my favorite being that Auron, Jecht, and Braska gave their 'moonflow' to Tidus, and he was able to live again. I found this idea at Song Of Prayer, so if you want to look more into it, I suggest this site. If you want to make any comments about what I have written here, you may email me, or you can post something at the message board.
