The fourth grade gifted students are learning about immigrants that traveled through the NY Gateway and entered Ellis Island and settled in the U.S. They have each researched their family lines and are ready to share this information, so stop by Room 125 and see their display.
Students have been assigned an identify of an actual immigrant, and will wear clothing of that immigrant's country and era, then begin the process of becoming naturalized at Ellis Island. Not everyone was accepted... We'll see if our students are when their time comes! |
