Musical Chairs
I DON'T love all and every music. All music is not created equal. Don't try to tell me that Ja Rule is just as good as Chopin or that King Crimson is on the same level as the lastest top 40 pop sensation. Most of the sound out there is pure crap. I guess once you pass the Linkin Park or Blink18Shit on the road to musical enlightenment, you find the real stuff. I've taken music theory, and I've played the flute (that's right, and I'm fucking good) since 5th grade, and I can tell you this: If you've never touched an instrument, if you don't know a Bflat from a Treble Clef, or if you can't pick out a major seventh, don't try to argue with me. I just don't believe that anyone with an obtuse lack of musicianship can understand and feel the music like someone who has studied. Maybe I'm wrong, and maybe they can hear it toally unbiased, scraping more than chords out from it. However, if you don't have any concept of music, and you consider yourself to be the Mack of Music, I laugh spitefully at you. Mwahahahah. Go on thinking that you understand and appreciate the shit you call music, ignorance is bliss, kiddo.
