The Rena which has appeared on TV was just an old video for her. It is the same video which Conan saw in File 586. The organization has aired that video just to make all the FBI hurry to her location, and be able to locate her, or that what it seemed.

Akai proposed a plan as a last resort to escape with Mizunashi Rena. Everybody agreed that the plan was good, and they chose Andre Camel to be a driver for that plan. Somehow Andre Camel screwed up and mentioned that he had no family so that he had nothing to fear. It was then when Jodie remembered that he said he’d call his wife when she first met him. Unfortunately, Jodie didn't tell the others her doubts, and acted by herself. The last two panels in the manga show Andre stabbing Jodie with something. Something that made her loose her consciousness immediately. Or perhaps her life.
