No wonder - the series has been running since 1996 and animation techniques has been developing. Starting from Movie 7, they started to add 3D effects to the animation. It is not difficult to notice the variation in the quality of drawing. Even in the recent releases that are aired in HD TV format, you can sense that Ran is not drawn as good as she is drawn in the manga. In the movies, however, the quality of the animation is always good. This is not surprising because they have better budget for the movies. |
