the days of guns and roses

In junior high and high school, when most of my current friends watched 120 Minutes, cried with Morrissey over meat being murder and attended Amnesty International meetings, I was immersed in a similar, harder-rocking but less cerebral and much cheesier world, watching Headbangers Ball and swiping Chicken Tenders during my shift at Burger King. New friends are often surprised, impressed, and/or amused to hear of this metal youth. Yes. It  is impressive. But I put on my shredded acid-washed jeans one leg at a time, the same as everybody else in my Jersey world did. Let's take a look back.
