Text Box: This period started at Jesus’ baptism. It denotes a period of time where the gift of the Holy Spirit would be given only to select people; such as people who maintained adequate faith in God. This period was brief, 3 ˝ years.
Text Box: *At His second coming, the gift of the Holy Spirit won’t be given to those who just confess their sins anymore. It will revert to pre New Testament rules where only those who repent and follow God can receive the gift. Many people believe the rapture depicts an inexplicable vanishing of a specific group of people categorized as God’s obedient children. I think this concept is possible, but I do not agree with the vanishing. I believe our bodies are made of dust, and to dust they will return. Our transformed bodies will be leaving our earthly bodies behind, and instantly receive our new “heavenly bodies,” as promised. Think of the state of mind for those left behind during this rapture. Their common God is science in many parts of the world. Even if they claim to believe in a version of a Unitarian God, they will almost always fall back on their real god, science, when the almighty God seems to fail them. This is historically accurate to the best of my knowledge.
What could rationally explain a mass inexplicable vanishing? Since people aren’t feeble minded, and are capable of realizing what is happening, what could explain the rapture to those who are left behind? If everybody disappeared, could anything other than alien abductions explain it? A massive alien invasion doesn’t seem reasonable to me, and I don’t think a majority of the left behind population would assume it was aliens. So a noticeable majority of people would be forced to turn to God from this phenomenon as they reflect and try to explain. This isn’t what Revelations described.
“And the people did not repent,” was a repeated phrase following the implementation of God’s wrath on people. If the 5th bowl, and presumably the later 2 bowls didn’t cause the people to repent, why would it be reasonable to assume that a noteworthy quantity of people who formerly followed their faulty god of science, would turn to God not long after the 7th trumpet; or according to a popular belief, at the very beginning of the tribulation?
The idea of vanishing is unreasonable in terms of feasible predictions. It is more likely that people will appear to die to the skeptics who are left behind, leaving the new spiritual bodies for our souls/spirit free to “meet Jesus in the air.”
*Yet another point would be pre-trib, mid-trib, and post-trib. Pre, and post-trib reasoning’s contradict 1 Corinthians 15:52, and people who get that far in their study of the Bible usually base their opinion of a literal interpretation. So why do they contradict themselves? Why skip over 1 Corinthians 15:52 and base reasoning solely on only a limited version of the bible? Do the people thinking these things do so solely to make it easier to imagine what will happen according to their ability to reason? Do they do it to sell a book that sounds good? Do they have some conviction about the veracity of scripture somehow superior to mine? It's a possibility, but I doubt these people do it out of greed. I think someone just needs to offer a better concept to alleviate the popular vivid imagery (pro 18:17). I don’t know everything, I wonder if everybody else is willing to admit the same.

This period, “the church age,” has lasted 1,972 years so far.Text Box: The Holy Spirit was given “to whom ever God pleases.” People can’t be in God’s holy presence with out Jesus blood, so it was His Spirit they received.

Text Box: At Jesus’ second coming (the last trumpet according to 1 Cor 15:52, Rev 11:15) the free gift of Jesus’ Holy Spirit wont be free anymore so He can return.
