“The more I learn, the more I know to seek. This perpetuity would end if I refuse to learn and deny the need to seek. I dare not think I know anything for certain, for if I knew anything with biased assurance, I’d be blind” Kai Napohaku

Thought

Anyone who thinks, talks to them self in a way. Getting an idea, then making points for and against it might sound like an argument between you and yourself. This was funny when I first thought of it. I try not to embellish what I write about, and keep it all realistic as is feasible, which lead me to this idea and argument. If inquisitiveness asks why “I” wasn’t included, it’s because I am not alone by myself anymore. There is no “I”.

Me: I am not a poet.

Myself: What?

Myself: I write poetry, how can you say that?

Me: Poetry requires inspiration. Therefore, I am not a poet.

Myself: You’re not making any sense.

Me: I choose the words, I edit and I think the thoughts. But I cannot create an original topic.

Myself: Hmmm… now you’re starting to make sense.

Me: The things I write about write themselves. I just tell what I know about things.

Me: So I am not a poet.

Myself: Wait, but why doesn’t that make me a poet? Doesn’t that just mean all poets are like that?

Me: Your not very bright are you? I don’t write anything original, but I also don’t copy any other person’s ideas. Therefore I am not a poet.

Myself: Ok. You are giving us a headache. If your not a poet, then who is?

Me: The one who created what I write about.

Myself: (speechless)

Me: (Taps foot)

Myself: Oh… so God is the only poet?

Me: Yeah, and I’m just a translator.

(I look away from the mirror, and later come across my reflection in a glass window)

Myself: You know “Me,” you make it sound like we are some kind of copies of our creator.

Me: Yeah.

Me: Like imperfect and often simpleminded children being taught by their patient Father.
