Text Box: Once upon a time I was a caterpillar.

I crawled on the ground to my nearest source. I followed this path up a tree looking for the only thing I was sure of in life. The only thing I knew to indulge in. Chomping on these leafs to what seems no end, I find myself unable to indulge anymore. I leave the branch that made me a vulnerable plump ripened target for whatever predator wandered by with any vision whatsoever. Off in the distance I find a place to rest, a shelter where I can contemplate what I’m longing for. In this protecting cradle from everything I knew I find myself transformed. I am a new being each day, shaped as if a lump of clay which the potter molds one part at a time.

Now my transformation is complete. I find myself able to do the unthinkable. Without a thought I spread my eye-catching wings and fly through the formerly impenetrable barrier of air. In the world I was once bound to I see beneath me an endless world of caterpillars and predators. I see how limited I once was. I try my best to reveal my newfound perspective as I float down, but some of the caterpillars seem unable to grasp the concept that what they know of life can’t be all there is. Before I leave, I imagine what I'd look like through the eyes of a caterpillar. I seem to look like an entirely different creature, a predator as far as they know. I fly away feeling drawn to a new destination.

Reaching the end, I look everywhere attempting to find something familiar. I catch that I have passed on from the world I have grown up in and am now surrounded by others like me; many of them are transformed creatures. These creatures that were born anew, work towards the same goal. The concerns of our former life have no place here. We will live as new beings with everyone who finds this place.
