Mixed Fruit Jam Through the years

January 2000 - Today

In the recent past we have played concerts at KREC Suratkal, SSIT College and SIT College Tumkur and Manipal Management College. We were placed all India 2nd at the popular Zee TVs Sa Re Ga Ma band competition. We have also provided our original music and sound effects for the English movie 20 Plus directed by Arjun Menon. The GAIA concert in July at the Guru Nanak Bhavan was well received by the audience. Later, we were requested by Youth Asia TV from Delhi to represent Bangalores music scenario for a documentary on Bangalore. Soundbuzz.com from Bombay has requested our music to upload onto the Internet. And to our delight we had been declared as the Artists of the Month for the month of October by bangalorenet.com. We also performed at the YMCA for the International Peace Celebration where over 30 Countries Participated. We staged our own Unplugged Concert Out of the Dark at the Guru Nanak Bhavan on the 3rd of December 2000 to a house-full audience. This was our most special and rewarding venture and Bangalores first Unplugged Concert. The setting was a deep forest in the early hours of morning where Mixed Fruit Jam played around the light of a small campfire with the Sun rising in the horizon as day dawns bringing the world Out of the Dark. This show was followed by shows at Baldwins, MES College, RVCE, GRS Fantasy Park, Mysore and a Video Shoot for a documentary on TMG TV. However the show that will leave a lasting impression on our minds would be the performance before 45,000 cricket fans at the Chinnaswamy Stadium for the India Australia One-Day Match on the 25th of March. Our next venture was the release of our first album Out of the Dark on the 1st of September, 2001. We launched our Album and our Web site www.mixedfruitjam.com with a show at Ravindrakalakshetra open air amphitheater on the 1st of September 2001.
