This subject is conducted to convey the knowledge of integrating information technologies with teaching and learning in the modern period. Information technology (IT) is designed to provide an overview of the importance of digital literacy and understanding to effectively use ICT to facilitate and enhance the preparation, presentation, assessment and evaluation of learning and teaching. The issues and challenges of integrating ICT into learning and teaching are examined through available research reports. Changes taking place in education due to the developments in ICT are explored. A variety of technologies to research and synthesize researched information are demonstrated. Emerging technologies in education are discussed.
