This one is before I started collecting stubs.
I was in total awe at seeing 51, 855 fellow rockers going crazy...lol  Naked women in the showers, Gold Bud filling the air, Guitars blaring, Rock N' Roll Heaven...lol The ticket was a birthday gift from my sister, $10 for the experience of a lifetime. Thanks Sis!!!
1979 Cincinnati Gardens Cincinnati,Ohio
Ted Nugent
Blackfoot
Krokus
I haven't got many memories of this show other than it was loud...lol  I remember everyone I went with was broke except for a huge chunk of hash and ppl sharing smoke with us... trying to get at the hash which we did share... lol
April 5, 1983 Cincinnati Gardens Cincinnati, Ohio
Billy Squier
Def Leppard
This one is also a bit of a blur. I remember the whole Lep show but by the time Billy boy came on I was about gone. I remember my friend rolling down the isle and jumping right up and everyone cheering...lol Had no plans to see the show but woke up and heard the advert on the radio and went searching for ppl who would go.
Ratt with openers Bon Jovi. To my surprise Bon Jovi put on a great show (I became a fan). I remember hearing Ratt's "You Think Your Tough" on WEBN's (local radio) Metal Shop back in 1983 and thinking this band was killer. I got thrown outta the show with 3 songs left to go but walked back in when two girls were leaving, I missed one song. Why I got the boot you ask? Something about too many beers and several 714's. Oh! The autograph? Who knows?...lol
AC/DC with openers Loudness. My first outdoor show and it was a good one. Loudness came out and yelled "Headro Dare Mudda Puckers" and had us rolling. Rock N' Roll Crazy Nights, awesome guitarist made their show a blast. It was snowing for me and my friends that day, more them than me the...lol It was the 'Who Made Who' tour for AC/DC so we got to hear nothing but the best of...Fantastic!!!!! Somebody couldn't go to the show and I was lucky recipient of her ticket. Like 90% of the shows I went to I never set in my seat, something like 20 rows back I believe? The real stone pimp wasn't Kid Rock it was Chris Tanner.
(Eat shit and bark at the moon)
David Lee Roth with openers Cinderella. I can't remember how going to this show came about? I think it was just a spur of the moment thing? Cinderella's "Shake Me" video was playing on MTV and I was impressed by Keifer's solo and wanted to see the band. They played a great set and afterwards I got to meet 3 of the members (Eric wasn't there...they were in the tunnel watching DLR). Diamond Dave was an after thought for me but shouldn't have been. Just amazing is all I can say. Sheehan and Vai doing solo's on each others instruments (Vai Playing the bass with his back turned to it). Dave said hell this is titty city and I must admit that to this day the blonde that was sitting behind me, that shed her little (very little) leopard skin jumper is still so very fresh on my mind....lol Christie tried jumping over the rail to meet Cinderella and that led to the bands exit...lol Both Robbie and Christie were too smashed to drive back so I ended up driving, stopping every 5 blocks for directions (My first time driving in the city). I made it downtown only to drive up the exit ramp. The guy in the car coming down the ramp wasn't amused. To quote him "Don't you fking know how to drive"? I yelled back at him "Does it look like it"? lol Looking back on it, the night was a mess but as strange as it is to say it was the most fun I ever had at a concert!
Aerosmith with openers Dokken. This show was a dream come true for me. My all-time fav band from the 70's and a big fav from the 80's. It was a decent show but it must have been early on in the tour because both bands seemed a bit rusty.
James paid my way to this show to repay me for the Aerosmith concert. I didn't really want to see this show but he talked me into it. It was great kick ass show, both drummers were great and I became a Pretenders fan halfway into their set. Iggy Pop put on a great show as well.
Aerosmith with openers Guns N' Roses. This was the best concert I have ever been to. Both bands just put on great shows. There were a couple of car loads of us that went to this one. Guns N' Roses record had just hit number one and they were so fired up. Axel came out on a tri-cycle and a cowboy hat...lol They went through a great show from which they included my first chance to hear "Patience." Aerosmith came out and did a lot of older tunes which suited me just fine. Kramer had a drum kit inside his clothes and walked out in the audience playing his knees, legs stomach ect...lol Would love to have had that show on tape!
This was a really good show even though a crowd didn't really show up. All I can say is they missed a helluva show. Most of the audience that night was female :)
Went to this show after getting the cassette only a few weeks earlier. There were like 30 people at the show but the band played a full set and then even did the meet and greet. They signed autographs and sat around chatting for awhile. Brandon and I were really high high high at this show and it made it feel like there were a thousand people there...lol Brandon loved this tape and already knew all the lyrics and when the band saw him singing along to every song they handed him the mic and he sang a whole verse...lol What made it better is that they handed the mic to another cat later on and he didn't really know the words so Brandon grabbed the mic and finished the verse...lol The two or three would be groupies were all over him...lol Needless to say I know that had to be among his fav shows...lol
Ozzy with openers White Lion and Vixen. This was one of my least fav shows I went to. I went with ppl I didn't like which led me to get drunk enough to tolerate them. By the time Vixen came out to start the show I had already drank a fifth of Wild Turkey and about a fourth of a fifth of something else. I also stayed in my seat for this one and I didn't like that at all. Vixen and White Lion put on a good show but I can't tell ya much about Ozzy. I smoked a joint right before he came on and that was the end of my night...lol I did manage to wake up for Zakk's solo but again crashed soon after...lol
Had a horrible time at this show as well. I went with a dumbass that forgot his I.D. and he got thrown out of the show. I think it was just 2 songs into DT's set. Even though he drove and I was 15 miles from the nights lodgings I would have still stayed except it was his bright idea to bring along dates. Fargin, shithead, dumbars. Did I say I was still pissed?..lol
This show was supposed to be headlined by Great White but they cancelled the day of the show. In a way it was the best thing that could have happened. Badlands and Tesla got to play full sets and then both bands came out together and did 2-3 songs.
This was another great show. It was the last show of the tour and both bands pulled out all the stops including a silly string battle with Sea Bass being tied to a chair if I remember correctly? Great Show!!
L.A. Guns with openers Dangerous Toys and Tora Tora. If you missed this show you really missed a great night of Rock n' Roll! Tora Tora played a great show including my fav "Walkin Shoes." I finally got to see DT's whole show and it was great! LA Guns was one of my fav bands at the time and played a great show. One of those shows you wish could go on and on and on! Brandon was with me again at this one and got so farked up we lost him in the crowd, I mean tore up from the floor up wasted. After the show we looked everywhere for him and couldn't find him. The others wanted to leave but there was no way I could leave him 150 miles from home. We eventually where the last car in the parking lot when a police car pulled up to the front doors. We cruised past and sure enough there was Brandon in the back seat...lol He had gotten some bumps and bruises at the show and a little too rowdy. We followed the police to the hospital and talked them into letting him go...lol What a night!
Motley Crue with openers Faster Pussycat. Got 10th row seats the day of the show. It was on a Sunday so Kentucky was completely dry. We found these Japanese cats selling booze on a mobile cart...lol We just followed them around for half hour or so...lol  Faster Pussycat came out and did a great show to half full arena. I don't think many ppl had even heard of them. Toward the end of the show I started yelling "Hey Pussycat shut the fark up." I did that 3-4 times, and I do mean loudly, and the band liked the fact that at least one person had heard of them...lol Tamie turned around and had shut up on the back of his pants. Of course they played Babylon and I was all the sudden accompanied by two young teens..lol I was just a bit embarressed, as I was twice their age, andI told them I was almost old enough to be their dad so they left. Rolling Stones said it best.. "What a drag it is getting old...lol Crue Came out and did their Feelgood stuff complete with the DD twins. It was a helluva show! Tommy was doing his suspended drum kit coming out into the middle of the arena, awesome!
Bad Company with openers Damn Yankees. This was a birthday present from my future wife/life killer/Satan/it wasn't all her fault...lol Damn Yanks played a great set including Night Rangers "Don't Tell Me You Love Me," Styx's "Renegade" and the Nuge's "Cat Scratch Fever." Just those three songs made it a great show. Bad Company put on a great show playing all the oldies and all the new stuff. It was actually a great birthday present!
