Darby and Joan

WHEN HE WAS YOUNG SHE MARRIED HIM
FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE
AND HOPED THAT HE WOULD HELP
TO FILL HER EVER EMPTY PURSE
SHE PROMISED SHE WOULD CHERISH HIM
IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH
AND CARE FOR HIM AND SHARE WITH HIM
HIS MUCH EXPECTED WEALTH
NOW THEY ARE OLD SHE CARES FOR HIM
IN SICKNESS MORE THAN HEALTH
SHE LAUGHS WITH HIM AMD SHARES WITH HIM
ANOTHER SORT OF WEALTH
THEIR CHILDREN AND THEIR CHILDREN'S
CHILDREN
BRIGHTEN UP THEIR DAYS
AND THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHS AND MEMORIES
THEY WALK FAMILIAR WAYS
AND WHEN THEY GO TO BED AT NIGHT
THEY EACH HOLD HANDS AND PRAY
PLEASE GOD COME MORNING
LET THERE BE
ANOTHER LOVELY DAY.

Thanks to my dear friend Dojo for this poem
If

If I could have just one wish,
I would wish to wake up everyday
to the sound of your breath on my neck,
the warmth of your lips on my cheek,
the touch of your fingers on my skin,
and the feel of your heart beating with mine...
Knowing that I could never find that feeling
with anyone other than you.

What I Love About You

I love the way you look at me,
Your eyes so bright and blue.
I love the way you kiss me,
Your lips so soft and smooth.

I love the way you make me so happy,
And the ways you show you care.
I love the way you say, "I Love You,"
And the way you're always there.

I love the way you touch me,
Always sending chills down my spine.
I love that you are with me,
And glad that you are mine.

This Must Be Love

I climbed the door
And shut the stairs
I said my shoes and
Took off my teeth
I pulled down my pillows
And fluffed my sheets
I blew out my bed
And climbed into the light
And all because you kissed me goodnight!

WORDS

BE CAREFUL HOW YOU USE A WORD
TO SOOTHE OR WOUND A HEART
IT'S EASY WITH A THOUGHTLESS TONGUE
TO TEAR A SOUL APART
SO THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK MY FRIEND
AND CHOOSE YOUR WORDS WITH CARE
LEAVE ONLY COMFORT, LAUGHTER AND JOY
TO SAY THAT YOU WERE THERE.
