200mm F/6 Newton
This telescope was a very good choice when I was struck by aperture fever (and this was  after the astrophoto  germ). It's a good compromise - relatively cheap, transportable , and the most important thing ,upgradable - almost all the money goes into the optical tube which can be mounted on a heavy duty equatorial mount when you have the $$ .
After raising enough money I have bought a LXD75 mount with stepper motors and DK3 controller . The " interface " between the optical tube and the mount it's homemade , saving me aproximative 100$
The most complicate setup is with my homemade autoguider . This is a far cry from my initial 114/F8 alt/az .
Another improuvements -stepper driven focuser and a bubble level . Last, the homemade adapter for my 300D camera .It's the only way to position that deep enough to focus.
Camera adapters  -  left for 300D ,
-  right afocal  for   Powershot A75
