Now the telescope was very adequate for visual observing , excellent for a beginner like me because of the half 7x50 binocular straight image finder.
After some time , the desire to make pictures (and to see galaxies arms ,not only cores) made me to make a stepper engine RA drive.
The drive system is made from a unipolar floppy stepper engine , a gear train part scavenged part builded and a electonic controller based on a stepper driver combined with a impulse generator .All this work save me some 120 euro's , and was moderately good for astrophoto (at over 900mm focal lenght).
