Cuba: Superclubs Breezes Costa Verde: "Smile and they smile with you :)" Date: December 30, 2003 Reviewer: mittens59@yahoo.com, Montreal, Canada I visited Cuba and stayed at the Breezes Costa Verde from Nov 29th, 03 until Dec 6th,03. I have travelled to many places around the world and with experience, realize that each country has it s own charm. I think that the enjoyment you have is in what your expectations are. If you go somewhere expecting the same as you may have had on another great trip, you may be disappointed. Go with an open mind and treat people the way you would like to be treated. Wear a smile and they will return one to you. I met some very nice staff members, who were kind and helpful. I would like to say Thank you to a few people who made my stay extra special. To the staff at Jimmy s Restaurant, Iraida, Michel, Jose, Flix, Irene & Andres. Thank you Juan Carlos for the dance lessons. The hotel itself is a very nice hotel. The rooms and the grounds are very clean. The maid service was very good. The food was fine but nothing real exciting. The restaurant that I would recommend would be the Japanese restaurant. You need reservations and you can only eat once (1 wk stay) at each restaurant, except for Jimmy s buffet. The nightly entertainment was very amateur but they did the best they could. The Illusions Night Club was usually busy nightly and the music was good. The Banda Bolero Salsa & the Rock group were very good. There are a few things that I would change at this hotel, like, A bathroom and shower on the beach would be nice. More shelters for rainy days. A outdoor night club, so that it doesn't get so hot & smokey. I could go on and on about what this hotel has to offer and what could be changed but what it all comes down to is that I enjoyed my week. I think the main thing to take into account is that most of the people who go to this hotel are Canadian (mostly from Quebec) and the average age group is between 35 and 60. If you re looking for a fairly quiet place to relax, then this is the place. If you're a younger person and want more excitement, then you should ask your travel agent for somewhere more queered towards the younger generation. If you would like to see some pics of my trip, visit www.geocities.com/mittens59/CUBA2 If you also would like more information about the hotel, please feel free to email me at mittens59@yahoo.com . If you decide to go to this hotel, I wish you a great trip! Adios, Linda
