My first one. Yippeee! I hope you have noticed by now the large gray and yellow words at the top of my webpage. They say 'unregistered'. Why? Because I used a program to convert BMPs to JPGs and the program didn't bother to tell me that it will screw up anything that I save. Nope, no warning. None at all. But let me start at the begining. I decided that I needed a Logo up top there to get rid of the other one, I needed something that would fit me. Thus, the great hunt began. The first program I got, I couldn't even figure out. Appearantly the only thing the website allows you to download is the source. That didn't really work for me. That alone took a good 5 minutes to download, and then 15 to decompress. So, there is 20 minutes wasted (thats not even counting deleting time). Then the next one I downloaded wouldn't let me save. Yay. Another 10 minutes wasted. Now, the third, and final one (for tonight) hasn't bothered to tell me that it will screw up any picture I convert with it. Har Har Har. Funny on Doug.
And so, my opinion: Programs that don't warn you of what they won't do for you, or what they will do to your stuff, suck. Period.
***UPDATE***
I finally got one. Went to the old standby, ACDSee. I prolly could have just use GIMP the whole time...
