Does your Mitsubishi Montero look like this now?
Have you been involved in a Roll Over Accident' with a 'Mitsubishi Montero Sport'?
Well, I've had the misfortune of owning a '2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport'. The above picture WAS my car. The shape it's in, is the result of a Roll Over Accident - my family and I were in. This vehicle is a Road Hazard. They Roll Over - effortlessly, people can be SERIOUSLY INJURED or worse - KILLED!!!!!!. If any of you have been involved in a 'ROLL OVER' accident, while driving a Mitsubishi Montero Sport, or know of anyone else that has, please contact me thru my e-mail address at: [email protected] I'd like to hear from you, hear your story, and hopefully with enough accidents/stories: a 'Class Action Lawsuit' could be brought upon Mitsubishi. Please read my story below, of how a simple family outing, almost turned into a very real tragedy! My husband, daughter, our puppy and I - were driving in a small town - going about '25-30' mph. A car going about the same speed, was coming from the opposite direction. He crossed over into our lane and hit our left fender. As a result of the impact, we rolled over '3' times. '3 TIMES'! But how? None of us were traveling fast! The impact should have just thrown the car a 'few feet', not roll us over - '3' times. It happened in a 'split second', a split second - that changed all of our lives - Permanently! Our car was Totaled! Thank God No One Died!!!!!!! But Someone Could Have! Our Injuries Were As Follows: My 24 year-old daughter: sustained a compression fracture in her lower spine. 10 months have gone by, and the pain has not diminished. Her regular daily activities are now painful. Doctor's say 'they can't do anything' for this injury, it will slowly go away, but 'who' can guarantee me, that she will not have re-occurring problems - for the rest of her life? My husband: who was driving - ripped some tissues in his left shoulder as a result of his seat belt. Using his left arm- is now painful. Surgery would help, but he keeps putting it off. A cartiledge in his throat slipped, pushing on his voice box, and this has caused him immense pain, and sleepless nights. He always felt like he had a lump in his throat. He just had throat surgery, where they sutured the cartiledge in place. Hopefully, this will solve his problem. My puppy was also traumatized as a result of the accident. He was sitting on the floor by my feet - in front, when we rolled over. He was knocked around, so he bit thru his lip. Since the accident, when he's in the car with us, he gets so uptight and all nervous. Now if we go over any bumps on the road - the sound reminds us all - of the accident, the impact of hitting. As for me: I pulled my right shoulder - that hurts in certain positions. My feet - because they were up on the dashboard - were all cut up. I had glass all over me. 8 months after the accident, I had some slivers of glass in the bottom of my foot - surgically removed. There is still a piece in there, that they can't find. I also sustained a bulging disc, and a herniated disc in my neck. I get severe headaches, that make me nauseous , and my right arm, hand and ear - go numb. Therapy has not helped at all, so the Doctor's are talking surgery. One neck surgery in the family is enough, don't you think? But I might have no other option. So we are still 'licking our wounds'. We have several PERMANENT scars, but hopefully - in time - we will heal. Some might not be so lucky. The MITSUBISHI MONTERO SPORT is a 'ROAD HAZARD' and a potential 'DEATHTRAP'. I feel the Public should be made aware of this. SUV's are very fashionable right now, they're the 'car' to be seen in, but at 'what risk'? Families are driving them, with their little children. Serious Injuries or Death can result - while rolling over in this vehicle. Why is this vehicle 'STILL ON THE ROAD"? Contact me thru my e-mail if you've been involved in a Roll Over Accident - or know of anyone that has - while driving a Mitsubishi Montero Sport.
