Upper Penium Removeral Tools: Socket Wrench Set - Metric Socket Size 12M and 7M Gasket [$5 At Dealer] Screw Driver- Big Phillips And Small Flat Head If Removeing Spark Plugs Spark Plug Socket 6 NGK Spark Plugs** [9.47Each at O Reillys Or 9.99 At Dealer) Location Rest Over Upper Head, Cant Miss it, Its the big silver head with ports Steps: 0.) Remove Negative Battery Cable 1.) Remove Fuel Injector Panel [2Bolts] 2.) Remove Front Bolts [3] 3.) Remove Front Upper Bolts [2] 4.) Remove Front Nuts [2] One on Eachside Cant Miss 5.) Remove Air Intake Hose [2 Clamps] 6.) Remove Throttle Body Bolts [4] TB Located On Left Side of Penium [Has a Gasket so dont let it fall when go to move it] 7.) Remove Screws [2] From Fuel Injector Wire Connectors [Located On Left Side Of Penium Only 2 Screws Over thre thats connected to penium] 8.) Remove Bolts from back side of penium [6 Total] 2 On Back Left Side [By TB Cable] 2 In Center On Top [ Located On Clamp that Holds The TB Cable In Place ] 2 On Back Right Side [One has a ground wire connected] 9.) Remove [2]Connectors From Sensor [Located On the Back Right Side of Penium, Will have to use a small flat head screw driver to remove the staple type clamps holding them on] 10.) Move any excess wires thats in the way of the penium 11.) Pull off penium, Sit in safe spot. 12.) IMPORTANT MASK TAPE THE OPEN PORT HOLES LOCATED BETWEEN THE HEADS ON THE ENGINE SO NOTHIN WILL FALL DOWN INSIDE THEM (UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY A NEW ENGINE) If Your Changing Spark Plugs 13.) Gap New Plugs to .38-.41, Then Sit Aside 14.) Remove Front Center panel from the front valve cover[8] Bolts 15.) Remove Cylinder 1 Plug Wire from plug which is located between the front valve cover where you just removed the center panel [If Installing new Plug Wire Remove the Old plug wire completly by folllowing it to the other end and disconnect from ignitor then discard] 16.) Remove The Old Spark Plug 17.) Install New NGK plug. Place plug wire back on the new plug [Next Install new plug wire if doing so] 18.) Repeat Steps 15/16/17 Till Cylinder 1,2,3 are done 19.) Replace Front Center Panel that was removed from the front valve cover 20.) Remove Cylinder 4 Plug Which is located inbetween rear valve cover Then follow directions from step 15,16, and 17 21.) Repeat Steps 15/16/17 intill cylinder 4/5/6 has been done 22.) Replace the Upper Penium if nothing else is needed to be done under it [To reinstall the penium do steps 1-12 in reverse order] **NGK Spark Plugs are suggested use because they are the best plugs for the job, AnyThing Else Would Just Be Uncivilized, And Spouse Abuse *LOL* Hope This Write-up Helps Some People Out b/c when i removed my penium i couldnt find no N/a write-ups for this, and the TT's write ups had to much crap to filter through so i didnt even look at em, so I removed mine "blindy" which wassnt that hard |
