Estimated Time: 30-50mins

Procedure
Step 1: Dash Removal

1. Using the flat head, carefully pry off:
a) The remote mirror control panel, left of the steering column, and
b) the active exhaust/rear wiper control panel from the right of the column.
2. Disconnect both panels and place away from area.
3. Look into the openings, you should see a 10mm bolt, one in each opening use the socket to remove them.
4. Now, raise the steering column and push the chair back, because you're going under the dash by the pedals.
5.) Lift the tilt steering column all the way up, and get underneath the dash, and remove 2 more 10mm bolts (black in color)

Step 2: Identifying Connection

1. Now, with your head still under the dash looking at the mass of wires of your Japanese engineered steering column; find a mass the largest mash
of wires coming from the steering wheel and end at a black connections, which in turn is connected to a white connector.

The white connector is the work site. *DO NOT SEPERATE THE CONNECTORS*

2. Now, look for a blue wire w/yellow stripe, which should have a blue wire w/white stripe next to it.
3. Cut the blue w/yellow, about 3 inches from the white connector, strip a half inch from the side leading from the white connector, tape up the loose end going to the ETAC.
4. Now, strip some from midline from the blue w/white stripe, making sure not to cut it; and splice the blue w/yellow inline. Tape connection.

Step 3: The Final Product

1. Well, after you've thrown everything back together,  the pop-up lights will stay down when you turn on the head-lights but will be on to shine thru the flash 2 pass lens (causeing the snake eye effect)  When you push in the Pop-Up Head-Lite switch the pop-up lites will come up intill you push the button again to let them down.
****Note Fog-Lights Will Be Disabled Intill 2ed Half Of Mod is Performed****

2ed Half Of Mod [91 Fog Light Restoration ]

1. Using a phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws holding the cover on the steering column. After you've got the screws out, there are two plastic catches in the cover on the side closest to the dashboard that must be popped out.

2. After the column shroud is off, remove the two phillips screws that hold the gauge cluster trim on. With a small flat head screwdriver, gently pry the trim loose. Disconnect the two wiring connectors on the back of the trim ring. You'll have to roll the trim off of the steering column as the fit is pretty snug.

3. The harness on the left is going to be our work area. You'll see seven wires comming out of it. The red/yellow stripe and red/blue stripe are the fog wires. The rest are for the pop-up switch. Cut the red/blue stripe wire about 2 inches back from the connector. Strip off about 1/2 an inch of insulation from the piece of wire still attached to the connector.

4. At the blue/white stripe wire, cut back some of the insulation to expose the copper. DO NOT cut through the wire! Take the stripped end of the red/blue wire and wrap it around the bare portion of the blue/white wire.

5. Plug the switch back into the connector, and test it out. The following should happen: The fog lights should work whenever the fog switch is pressed. The headlights should come on (but not pop up) when ever the headlight know is on. Finally, the pop-up should work as they always did.

6. Wrap all your connections tightly with electrical tape, making sure no bare copper is exposed. Reassemble your dashboard and enjoy the looks you're going to get as you sneek up on unsuspecting Corvette owners at night :)
